I made my hot and sour soup for dinner tonight in an effort to fight off this cold that seems intent on settling back in for another round. I used 8 cups of chicken broth, 2 eggs, firm tofu (rather than extra firm), and a little more of the ...

This is a variant of my chili that uses ground turkey instead of ground beef. It's a little bit healthier without sacrificing any flavor or heartiness. It was a great meal for a chilly November evening.

This is a take-off from my ham and black bean soup. It's a lovely warming stew for a drizzly fall evening - warming with both the temperature and the spice :-) We both really enjoyed this, and it'll definitely make some repeat appearances throughout the fall ...

This is another variation of my usual chili recipe, this time using skirt steak instead of ground beef. The chunks of beef were a great addition, and something I'll definitely do again, but something about this bean combination was just a bit off, so I'll try something different next ...

This hearty crockpot meal is great for a fall day. I brought this into work for a potluck and cooked it all morning at my desk. One of our bosses is a vegetarian, so I wanted to make sure that he had something tasty and filling too ...

This gumbo concoction is a conglomeration of many recipes out there on the web. It's a great use for leftover chicken, and could easily be adapted to use fresh chicken as well. We really enjoyed this and will be repeating it many times in the coming fall and ...
