30 Things While 30

Just before my birthday, I posted a list of 30 things to do while I’m 30. I’m keeping track of my progress here rather than editing the original post.

  1. Make a weekend trip to Canada
  2. Make a loaf of sourdough bread entirely from scratch
    • Okay, not a loaf, but only because I wanted some semblance of portion control πŸ™‚ Rustic Sourdough Rolls
  3. Get under 200 pounds
  4. Make the trek across the Cascades to see my grandmother
  5. Bring in homemade goodies of some sort to my office at least 6 times
  6. Spend a day at Pike’s Place Market
  7. Take a day trip to Whidbey Island
  8. Take a picture of my fun socks at least once a month and share them on here. I love fun socks; they make me smile, and I should share that goofiness with more people. It’s only fair to warn them that I’m a weirdo, right? πŸ˜€

  23. Get better at shucking oysters
  24. Share some of said oysters with my brother
    • Sadly, I probably won’t get to share any with him in person, so I took advantage of the colder weather and FexEx having a partnership with Central Market to send him 12 Penn Cove Select oysters overnight. He got them on 12/21/2010, grilled them on the shell, drizzled with a chipotle lemon butter sauce, and enjoyed. Expensive, but triumphant and worth the effort!
